Initially delivery was delayed and we were starting to become skeptical about the whole situation. However Fitness Hero lived up to their name and answered our questions very professionally and cheerfully. As for the bar itself, it's really good. This will sound like a made up review but after having knee pain for the last 4 years and stopping running my partner said the pain disappeared after 4 reps. However after a few sessions the pain in the shin area was pretty bad so go easy at first. Very happy with the purchase.
The Fitness Hero Tib Bar is used to strengthen the tibialis muscle, which is your first line of defence against knee pain.
The tibias muscle is the muscle that runs next to the shin bone, down the front of the leg from the knee to the ankle.
When the tibias muscle is weak, undue force being generated through walking, running or jumping makes its way to the knee, causing knee pain and shin splints.
Strengthening the tibialis anterior has been linked to a decrease in shin splints and knee pain. Using the Tib Bar also helps to strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments surrounding the ankle while simultaneously stretching and increasing the ankles range of motion.
